　快晴の青空の下、令和5年度の卒業式が挙行されました。立派になった98名の卒業生が、来賓や保護者の皆様に見守られ、母校を巣立っていきました。在校生代表として参加した5年生も大変立派で、歌声はとても素晴らしく感動的でした。（校長式辞は、「校長あいさつ」のコーナーでご覧いただけます。）

Under the clear blue sky, the 2023-24 school year graduation ceremony was held. Ninety-eight graduates, who have grown admirably, left their alma mater, watched over by honorable guests and parents. 　今年度の給食は今日で最後となりました。放送委員のお昼の放送も今日が最終回。6年生の放送委員は、楽しい放送を続けてくれました。給食も特別メニューで、お祝いのお赤飯が出ました。デザートについているイチゴも、6年生だけ特別なものを用意してくださったそうです。1年間、おいしい給食、楽しい放送をありがとうございました。

Today marks the end of this school year’s school lunches. It’s also the final broadcast for the lunchtime announcements by the Broadcasting Committee. The sixth-grade broadcasting committee members have consistently provided enjoyable broadcasts. We even had celebratory red bean rice as part of the special menu. And it seems the strawberries served as dessert were something special prepared exclusively for the sixth graders. Thank you for a year of delicious lunches and entertaining broadcasts!

　きれいに晴れていますが、風が冷たい朝です。いよいよ令和5年度も終わりが近づいてきました。
　2年生では、「リーダー・イン・ミー」の授業を行っていました。自分の中のリーダーを育てよう、という考え方を学んでいました。クラス最後のお楽しみ会を行っているクラスもありました。今の仲間とももうすぐお別れです。

It's beautifully sunny, but the morning wind is chilly. The school year 2023-24 is coming to an end.
In the second grade, one class had a lesson on 'The Leader in Me.' They learned about nurturing the leader within themselves. Some classes even held their final fun gatherings. It won't be long before they say goodbye to their current classmates.

　今日は、今年度最後の土曜学校公開日です。朝は、今年1年楽しい読み聞かせをしてくださった読み聞かせボランティアの皆さんへの感謝の気持ちを伝える「ありがとうの会」を開きました。ボランティアさんたちが、大型紙芝居で「花咲かじいさん」のお話を読んでくださいました。その後、代表児童による感謝の言葉、そして全校児童からのメッセージ集を一人一人にお渡ししました。
　今年度も楽しい読み聞かせをありがとうございました。（この様子は「校長室動画通信（1月〜）」でご覧いただけます。）
Today is the last Saturday Open Day of this school year. In the morning, we held an “Appreciation Gathering” to express our gratitude to the volunteer storytellers who have provided delightful reading sessions throughout the year. The storytellers read the "Hanasaki Jiisan" story, using a huge picture book. Afterward, we presented message cards from all the students to each volunteer.
Thank you very much, the volunteer storytellers, for reading a lot of books for us.

今日は2月のふれあいサロンが行われました。地域の皆さんが、もうすぐ卒業する6年生のために、しおりを作ってくださり、一人一人にプレゼントしてくれました。6年生からは、歌のプレゼントをしました。
お昼には、1年生の教室で、ふれあい給食も行われました。各クラス5名の皆さんが入って、1年生と給食を一緒に楽しみました。

Today, the February 'Freai Salon' was held. The senior people in the town kindly created bookmarks for the 6th graders, who will be graduating soon, and gifted one to each student. In return, the 6th graders presented a song.

During lunchtime, in the 1st-grade classroom, a 'Fureai Lunch' event was also organized. Five members joined each class and enjoyed lunch with the 1st graders.

Today, in the gymnasium, we held the final music morning assembly of the year. All the students sang "the Notebook of the Heart" together. It was the last time for them with the 6th graders to sing together, and their beautiful voices filled the entire gymnasium.

　今日は、2月の土曜学校公開日でした。2時間目に、「いじめ防止授業」を実施し、3時間目には集会室にて「いじめ防止授業地区公開講座」を行いました。講師は今年もスクールカウンセラーのH先生にお願いし、フランスでいじめが厳罰化されたという事実を元に、私たちにできることは何かを考える時間をもちました。（この様子は、後日、「校長室動画通信」でもお伝えします。）

In the second period, we showed an "anti-bullying class," and in the third period, we held an "Anti-bullying Open Lecture" in the assembly hall. The latter half of the second semester has begun today. I'm glad that students have been well. Among them, I heard a girl stayed in Ishikawa Pref. on the New Year's Day and had the great earthquake there. I felt relieved all of her family and relatives were safe.

　今日は寺中地区青少年育成委員会主催の新春・凧づくり凧揚げ大会が行われました。三吾小からは70名ほどの子供が、家族の皆さんと一緒に参加し、午前中に寺島中学校で、凧を作りました。その後、焼きそばと豚汁をごちそうになり、荒川土手まで行って凧揚げをしました。今年は、いいちょうどいい風がふいていて、高くあがりました。育成委員会の皆さん、PTA本部の皆さん、各地区子供会の皆さん、お疲れ様でした！　ありがとうございました。（新しい「R5年度1月〜　校長室動画通信」サイトにて当日の様子をご覧いただけます。）

Today, the New Year’s Kite Making and Kite Flying Festival was organized by the Terachu District Youth Development Committee. About 70 children from San-Azu Elementary School participated with their families and made kites at Terajima Junior High School in the morning. After that, they were treated to yakisoba fried noodles and tonjiru pork soup and went to the Arakawa River Embankment to fly kites.
This year, the wind was just right, and the kites flew high. Thank you to everyone in the Youth Development Committee, PTA headquarters, and each district's children's association for your hard work! (You can see this event at the new 'Principal's Motion Picture Reports (Since Jan. 2024)' site.

　令和6年、辰年の幕開けです。本年もどうぞよろしくお願いいたします。
　正月早々、能登半島で大災害が発生し、悲しい幕開けとなりました。犠牲になられました皆様のご冥福をお祈りしますとともに、被災された皆様に心よりお見舞い申し上げます。
　今日は、親和町会にある大里組さんのところで行われた、毎年恒例の伝統行事に参加させていただきました。2階建ての家の屋根の上ほどの高さのはしごの上で様々な技をご披露いただきました。

It is the beginning of 2024, the year of the dragon. Please continue to support us this year, too.
A major disaster occurred in the Noto Peninsula early in the new year, making it a sad start. I pray for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives and offer my heartfelt condolences to those who were affected.
I participated in an annual traditional event at the Oosato group in the Shinwa Neighborhood Association district today. They showed off various skills on a ladder about as high as the roof of a two-story house.
