　今日から夏休みが始まりました。校庭では、朝早くから4町会合同のラジオ体操会が4年ぶりに行われました。西地区は三輪里神社で70周年記念のラジオ体操会が行われました。たくさんの子どもたちが参加していました。

Summer vacation has started! The four town associations had a 'radio exercise' meeting early on the school ground for the first time in four years. The Miwasato Town Association had the 70th-anniversary radio exercise meeting at the Miwasato shrine. Many students took part in it.

　今日は土曜学校公開日で、令和5年度の道徳授業地区公開講座を行いました。今日は、3年生以上の児童は、映画「みんなの学校」を鑑賞しました。午後には、PTA教養部の主催で、同映画の上映会を行いました。保護者の方々とともに映画を見ることができ、とてもよかったです。PTAの皆様、ありがとうございました。

Today we had a Saturday Open Day and had the Open Seminar for Moral Education in 2023. The third and older-grade students watched a movie, "Everyone's School." In the afternoon, the Liberal Arts Committee of our PTA had the movie event, too. We were glad to share the movie with our parents. Thank you very much to the L.A. Committee and other PTA officials!

We had an Opening Ceremony for the swimming lesson in the morning P.E. assembly today. The Exercise Committee members showed us how to behave in the swimming lesson. In the fifth period, the first graders practiced changing clothes and etc, for the swimming lesson. We'll start the swimming lesson next Monday.

　関東地方も梅雨入りしました。今日は今年度第2回目の縦割り班活動が中休みに行われました。雨のため、校庭が使えず、教室や体育館で楽しんでいました。高学年の頑張りにより、前回よりも、集合がスムーズに行きました。

The rainy season has begun in the Kanto Area. We had the second different-aged group activity today. Because it was rainy, students couldn't play on the ground, but they enjoyed some activities in the classrooms and gym. Thanks to the older students' efforts, younger students could get together earlier than the last time.

　今日は前期学校公開最終日です。6年生は向島税務署の皆さんから、租税教室の授業を受けています。とても真剣に取り組んでいました。4年生は、墨田区水墨画協会の皆さんに水墨画のレッスンを受けました。水墨画の魅力を楽しんでいました。

Today is the final day for the Open Day in the first semester. The sixth graders had a special lesson on 'Tax Study' with the staff of the Mukojima Tax Office. They listened to the class very well.
The fourth graders experienced Sumie (Black-and-White) Painting with the Sumida City Sumie Association members. They enjoyed painting mountainous scenery in black Japanese ink.

　今日は、前期の学校公開2日目です。4年生は、すみだ清掃局の皆さんとゴミ問題について学習をしています。三つのグループに分かれて、様々なことを教えていただきます。

Today is the second Open Day in the first semester. The fourth graders are having a special lesson about garbage problems with the Bureau of Public Cleansing, Sumida City. Students made three groups and learned various matters about garbage problems.

　放課後、この春始まった三吾合唱団の保護者会が行われ、団員の皆さんによるミニコンサートが開かれました。この合唱団は課外活動として、音楽のY先生を中心に立ち上げたもので、主に朝の練習などの活動をしています。今後、合唱祭などに参加する目標でがんばっています。

A parents' meeting of the San-Azu Choir was held in the afternoon. The choir sang two songs in front of their parents.
This choir is an extracurricular activity that Ms. Y, the music teacher, established. They usually practice singing in the early morning before lessons. They will take part in some music contests or festivals.

　今日は6月の土曜学校公開日でした。向島警察署の方に来ていただき、全学年のセーフティ教室を実施しました。高学年はネット犯罪について、低学年は連れ去り防止について学習しました。その後、保護者向けのお話もいただきました。

We had the Saturday Open School in June. All the students had a particular lesson, 'Safety Lesson,' with the police officers from Mukojima Police Station. The upper graders learned about internet crimes. The lower graders learned how to escape from kidnapping. The officers talked to the parents, too.

The sixth graders went to Edogawa Ward Culture Center to see a drama by Gekidan Shiki. They had a good experience of a nice drama, though it rained hard on their way back home.

　今日はとても爽やかな晴れの日でした。今日は1年生、3年生が遠足に出かけました。1年生は、中川の土手で自然の観察と土手滑りをした後、公園へ移動して楽しく遊び、みんなでお弁当を食べました。3年生は、亀戸中央公園まで元気に歩き、広い公園で思いっきり遊びました。何よりの楽しみはお弁当とおかしで、みんな1時間以上前から待ちきれない様子でした。

It was a fresh, pleasant day today. First and third graders went on an excursion. First graders went to the Nakagawa River bank, watched flowers and bugs, and enjoyed sliding the bank. After playing there, they moved to the nearby park and enjoyed lunch together. Third graders walked to the Kameido Central Park and played in the open field vividly. They were looking forward to lunchtime the most! They looked like they could not wait for lunch one hour before!

　今日は、2年生と4年生が春の遠足に出かけました。2年生は徒歩で亀戸中央公園へ、4年生は電車で上野動物園へ行ってきました。お弁当をもって遠足に行ったのは4年ぶりで、4年生にとっても初めての経験でした。朝のうちは曇っていましたが、途中から日が出ると熱くなりました。とても楽しい一日となりました。

The second and fourth graders went on an excursion today. Second graders went to Kameido Central Park on foot. Fourth graders went to Ueno Zoo by train. It was the first time the students brought their lunch for an excursion. It was cloudy and cool in the morning, but the sun appeared in the afternoon and became hot. They had a good time.

　今日は墨田区学力調査を実施しています。2，3年生は国語と算数、4年生以上は社会、理科が加わり、6年生は英語もあります。昨年度1年間の学習の定着度を測ります。あわせて、生活についてのアンケートも行われます。

Students had an achievement test for all Sumida City elementary and junior high school students. Second and Third graders had Japanese and math. Fouth and other upper graders had social studies and science, as well. Sixth graders had English, too. They also had a questionnaire about their daily life.

　今日は今年度初めての学校公開が行われました。雨の中、たくさんの保護者の皆様が様子を見に来てくださいました。始業前には図書ボランティアさんの読み聞かせも始まりました。そして、4年ぶりとなる保護者会全体会も行われ、午後には学年ごとの保護者会も実施しました。ご来校ありがとうございました。

Today we had the first Open Day in the school year 2023-24. Many parents came to see how the students were doing on a rainy day. The Book Reading Volunteers started their reading activity today, too. Also, we had a parents' assembly after four years. Parents' assemblies for each grade were also held in the afternoon.

　すがすがしい春の晴れの日です。今日は、1年生は交通安全教室で、横断歩道の歩き方、信号のわたり方について体験学習をしました。区の交通安全課の皆さんと向島警察署のおまわりさんがご指導してくださいました。 実際に学校の前の信号を渡る練習をしました。

It's a fresh, sunny spring day. The first graders had a particular lesson about traffic safety. They learned how to walk and cross the pedestrian crossings. The Sumida City Office Traffic Safety Division staff and some police officers from Mukojima Police Station came and instructed the students. After that, they crossed the crossing in front of the school.

令和5年4月6日（木曜日）　「令和5年度入学式」
　75名の新入生が入学しました。マスク等の制限も解除され、4年ぶりに6年生が参加し、以前のような盛大な入学式を行うことができました。
　6年生は、新入生を優しくガイドし、式では大きな声で校歌を聞かせてくれました。天気も何とかもち、とてもよい入学式となりました。
Thursday, April 6th, 2023 "The Entrance Ceremony 2023-24"
Seventy-five new students entered our school today. Canceled restrictions for COVID-19, such as wearing masks, we could have a grand ceremony with the sixth graders together.
The sixth graders escorted the new students gently, and they sang the school song loud in the ceremony. The weather was OK, and we had a wonderful ceremony.

　今日から令和5年度の教育活動がスタートしました。子供たちは登校して、新しいクラスを確認した後、校庭で着任式を行いました。新しく本校に着任した教職員から一言ずつあいさつがありました。あいにく、雨が降り出したため、始業式は一端教室に入って、放送で行うこととなりました。

The School Education of 2023-24 started today. Students checked their new classmates, and we had a Welcome Ceremony on the ground. Eleven faculty members made an inaugural address one by one. Unfortunately, it started to rain. We had to get into the classrooms and had a broadcasting Opening Ceremony.
