令和2年1月の給食

煮込みうどん　　　牛乳　　　たこぺったん　　みかん

たこぺったんは、2年2組、3年2組からのリクエストです。お好み焼きのような料理で、たこが入り、火が通りやすいようぺったんこに成形して油で揚げるため、「たこぺったん」という料理名がついています。

Udon, Tako-pettan, Mandarin orange
Tako-pettan was a request from classes 2-2 and 3-2. It’s an okonomiyaki-like dish that contains octopus; it is thinly (pettanko) molded and fried in oil to make it easier to cook. That’s why it has the name Takopettan.

きなこ揚げパン　牛乳　サラダ　豆乳と米粉のシチュー

きなこ揚げパンは、1年3組、2年1組、3年1組、3年2組、4年3組、5年1組、5年2組、5年3組、6年1組、6年2組からのリクエストです。昭和39年頃から給食で出されていました。揚げパンの発祥は大田区で、全国に広まり、現在に至っています。

Kinako fried bread was a request from classes 1-3, 2-1, 3-1, 3-2, 4-3, 5-1, 5-2, 5-3, 6-1 and 6-2. It is a dish served for school lunch around Showa39. The origin of fried bread was in the Ota Ward, and it spread all over the country from there.

ごはん　　牛乳　　くじらの竜田揚げ　　豚汁　　みかん

くじらのたつたあげは、3年3組からのリクエストです。昭和27年頃の給食で出されていた料理で、年に1度しか出していませんが、毎年リクエストされる料理です。

Marinated deep-fried whale was a request from class 3-3. It is a dish served for school lunch around Showa 27. It is served only once a year, but is requested by students every year.

わかめとしらすのごはん　牛乳　玉子焼き　すいとん

すいとんは、昭和17年頃の給食で出されていました。すいとんは、小麦粉に水等を加えて練り、団子のようにした料理です。給食では、だし汁とたっぷりの野菜、肉のつゆにすいとんを加えます。

Wakame and Shirasu Rice, Japanese Omelet, Suiton
Suiton was served for lunch around Showa 17. Suiton is a dish made by adding water to flour and kneading it to make it look like dumplings. For today’s school lunch, we added soup stock, plenty of vegetables and meat soup with the suiton.

ごはん　牛乳　　鮭の塩焼き　　おひたし　味噌汁

1月24日〜30日は、全国学校給食週間です。皆さんに給食の歴史を知ってもらうために、今日から昔の給食で食べられてきたメニューを紹介します。今日は、第1回目で、明治時代の最初の給食のメニュー（おにぎり・塩鮭・和え物だったそうです）をもとにした献立です。

January 24th to 30th is National School Lunch Week. In order to let you know the history of school lunch, we will introduce the menus that have been eaten as the old school lunches from today. Today, the first time, is a menu based on rice balls, salted salmon and vegetables with dressing, which was the first lunch menu in the Meiji era.

ごはん　　牛乳　　揚げ餃子　　豆腐の五目スープ

給食室で、約600個もの餃子を手作りしました。具だくさんのジャンボ揚げ餃子を味わって食べていました。

Rice, Gyoza, Soup
About 600 gyoza were handmade in the school kitchen. The students tasted and ate lots of ingredients in the jumbo fried gyoza.

明日葉パン 牛乳 魚のソースかけ 粉ふきいも スープ

明日葉（あしたば）は、東京都八丈島でたくさん作られる野菜のことです。洋食のメニューをおいしく食べている様子でした。

Ashitaba-bread, Grilled Swordfish with barbecue sauce, Soup
Ashitaba is a vegetable that is grown a lot on Hachijojima in Tokyo. The students seemed to be eating the Western menu happily.

小豆ごはん　牛乳　塩麹焼き　おひたし　なめこ汁

1月15日は小正月を祝う風習があります。どんど焼きをしたり、小豆がゆを食べたりする風習があるため、給食では毎年小豆ごはんを出しています。

It is customary to celebrate the First Full Moon on January 15th. Because it is customary to make dondo-yaki and to eat azuki bean porridge, azuki bean rice is served every year for school lunch.

ごはん　　牛乳　　松風焼き　　けんちんじる

松風焼きは、おせち料理の一つです。お正月を祝うのに欠かせない料理です。ケシの実（ポピーシード）をのせて焼くのが一般的ですが、給食ではごまをのせて焼きました。

Matsukaze-yaki is one of the New Year dishes. It is generally baked with poppy seeds, but today’s lunch it was baked with sesame seeds.

牛丼　　　　牛乳　　　　おろしポン酢和え　　みかん

新型コロナウィルス感染症の拡大に伴うインバウンド需要の減少や、輸出の停滞等により食肉在庫が大幅に増加していることから、国が学校給食等と連携した販売促進事業を実施することになり、墨田区では、1月に1回、2月に2回、和牛を給食で提供することになりました。（牛肉にかかる費用は、東京都が負担します。）牛丼で、ごはん粒も残さずに食べている様子でした。

Meat inventories have increased significantly due to a decrease in inbound demand due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection and a stagnation in exports. Therefore, the government decided to implement a sales promotion project in collaboration with school lunches. Sumida Ward will provide Japanese beef for school lunch once in January and twice in February. The students seemed to have eaten the beef bowl without leaving any rice grains.

パリパリサラダとは、揚げたワンタンの皮をのせたサラダです。2年2組と5年3組からのリクエストでした。

Crispy salad is a salad with fried wonton wrappers. It was a request from classes 2-2 and 5-3.

ココアパン 牛乳　おみくじコロッケ ABCスープ 果物

おみくじコロッケには、うずら卵、ウィンナー、たこのどれかが入っています。食べるまで中身がわからないため、毎年子供たちが楽しみにしている様子を見かけます。
ココアパンは、1年2組、2年2組、2年3組、3年3組、5年3組からのリクエストでした。

Today’s fortune croquettes contain either quail eggs, wieners or octopuses. Students seem to be looking forward to it every year because they don’t know what’s inside until they eat it. Cocoa bread was a request from classes 1-2, 2-2, 2-3, 3-3 and 5-3.

七草うどん　　牛乳　　ごま酢和え　　白玉お汁粉

1月11日は鏡開きです。お供えした鏡もちを切らずに手で小さく割ってお汁粉などにして食べます。給食室では、一人3個白玉粉を食べられるように作り、お汁粉を手作りしました。行事食を味わって食べていました。

January 11th is the cutting of New Year’s rice-cakes day. The rice cakes offered can be broken into small pieces by hand, without cutting, and eaten as shiruko or with other dishes. We handmade shiruko in the school kitchen so that each person can eat three shiratama-ko. The students tasted and ate the event meal.
